Whether it s due to population, local economy, or the cost of living, not every city can offer the same level of job opportunity as another. Here are the U.S. cities that offer the best chance for finding a job right now.
A recent report from Glassdoor1, the job search and review web site, compared U.S.
cities based on their population, the number of job openings available, the median home value, and the median base salary. They also included a job satisfaction rating based on reviews from thousands of local employees. Based on their scale, they came up with the top 25 cities for finding a job.
Here are the top five:
- Raleigh, NC
- Kansas City, MO
- Oklahoma City, OK
- Austin, TX
- Seattle, WA
It s not surprising to see Raleigh at the top with tech companies like IBM, Cisco, and SAS setting up shop there.
It doesn t hurt that the area is affordable to buy a home and live in either.
